Forget retirement - Botany resident
Joy Hruby has too much to do. There are films
to make, books to write and students to teach.
For
the past 18 years, Mrs Hruby has been producing
her own television show, Joy's World, on community
television.
She
also recently began the mammoth task of turning
her book, The Dubbo Dazzlers, into a screenplay.
The book recounts some of her experiences as a
singer with a group which entertained Australian
soldiers at the Dubbo army based during World
War II. And more importantly, she's been finishing
off her film for this year's Tropfest film festival...
