V8 Supercar fans in the Northern
Territory, who traditionally miss out on live
free-to-air television coverage of the V8 Supercar
Championship Series, now can see the races live
through BigPond Broadband.
V8
Supercars on BigPond Broadband www.v8supercar.bigpond.com
provides live V8 Supercar coverage for regional
areas that do not receive Network Ten's live telecast
of the Championship Series.
The
BigPond Broadband V8 Supercar site provides coverage
of live qualifying, Top Ten shootouts, and real-time
telemetry, live timing and in-car cameras during
the races.
BigPond
Broadband customers in the Territory can, on any
V8 Supercar race weekend, fire up their PC and
watch live coverage of all sessions.
Danny
Honan, Area General Manager, Telstra Country Wide,
said this was an exciting opportunity for Territorians,
unable to be in Darwin for the V8s, to be a part
of the action.
From
Timber Creek to Borroloola people can view the
V8 action live via our Broadband Satellite technology.
That's got to be good news for those revheads
living in the bush, he said.
Most
fans living in and around the metropolitan areas
of Darwin and Alice Springs will be able to access
the service via ADSL while people living in all
other towns and communities, even the most rural
areas such as Daly Waters and Avon Downs can still
get access to the service via Satellite Broadband.
