Why write about something as specific as wrestling in Japan?

Japan has as rich a wrestling heritage as any other country in the world, be it Australia, the United States, Canada, England or anywhere else.

The "Land of the Rising Sun" is of course know for its Sumo wrestling, however, many of the historic and current professional wrestling matches take place in Japan.

Japan likes its wrestling solid, stiff and realistic.

Unlike American or Australian crowds, Japanese mat fans are most subdued, almost as a mark of respect.
