TRACEY HOLMES RETURNS TO ABC GRANDSTAND TEAM

Peter Longman, Editor of ABC Sport, announced today that Tracey Holmes is making a return to the Grandstand program on ABC Local Radio.

Holmes, who began her broadcasting career on the program, will return as a host of GRANDSTAND as well as contributing to other ABC Local Radio programs and the ABC website.

After a stint in commercial television in Australia, Holmes has been working the last few years in Hong Kong and Beijing. She also worked on the SBS TV coverage of last year’s Football World Cup in Germany.

"We are thrilled to have someone of the calibre of Tracey returning to the program. She is highly respected in the Australian sports media and I look forward to bring her skills back to Grandstand", said Editor of ABC Sport, Peter Longman.

Tracey Holmes will start with GRANDSTAND on air late March 2007. Throughout February she will provide regular sports bulletins to 702 ABC Sydney.

ABC Local Radio’s GRANDSTAND can be heard across Australia on Saturdays and Sundays from 12noon.
