                            Jimmy Rave, Wrestler: 13th
                            July 2003

                            Media
Man Australia interviews one of wrestlings brightest
new stars, Jimmy Rave (James Smith), as we explore
                            the world of pro wrestling.

                            What's your background?
                          I
grew up in Marietta, GA and went to Sprayberry High
School (same school as Buff Bagwell). I played football
for two years and amateur wrestled for a year. But
my mine focus was baseball. I played baseball since
I was 5 years old until the I started training to
be a Pro Wrestler. After that point I focused all
                            my attention to this sport.
                          How,
why and when did you get involved in wrestling?
                          I
have always loved wrestling, I've watched it since
I can remember. One day, I was 15, I was looking on
the internet for wrestling schools. I came across
a ref name John Johnson, he introduced me to Murder
One. After that I was on the track to making a dream
                            of mine come true.
                          What
did your folks and friends say?
                          To
simply put it everyone thought it was a dumb idea.
But this is my life, my career and most of all my
                            decision.
                          What
has been the most memorable experiences of the wrestling
                            business for you?
                          There
have been so many it would take for every to tell
you. Wrestling on NWA TNA's PPV has been huge accomplishment
for me. I always have fun wrestling in Viking Hall
or anywhere in Philly for that matter. It's a great
city for wrestling and the fans make you feel welcomed
and appreciated. And winning the NWA World Junior
Heavyweight Title was a great experience. In this
sport everyday is a memorable experience for me.
                          Where
                            have your wrestled?
                          Georgia,
Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina,
                            Kentucky, Philly and many more...
                          What
                            promotions have you wrestled for?
                          NWA
Wildside, NWA Florida, NWA TNA, NWA Main Event, NWA
Battlezone, USA Championship Wrestling, Ring of Honor,
Combat Zone Wrestling, IWA Mid South, IPW, NAWA ...
                            just to name a few.
                          What's
a few funny stories from the road or the locker rooms?
                          Going
along with Dan "The Dragon" Wilson's interview,
Sal Rinauro is the funniest guy in the world. Jason
Cross, Sal, Tank and Myself were coming back from
Philly after the CZW "Best of the Best"
show. We stop at this Wendy's because Cross keeps
whinning about a milk shake. We order it and pull
up to the window and no one is in sight. So Sal hides
under the drive through window and when the girl finally
comes to give us the milk shake .... Sal screams "HEEEEEYYYYYYYYY"!!!!
The girl freaks and runs, it was classic.
                          What
                            injuries have your suffered?
                          Broken
ankle, Broken wrist, dislocated thumb and a concussion.
                          How
do you work out a match?
                          Depends
on who I'm wrestling and where we are at. I love mat
                            wrestling and technical wrestling.
                          What
is the largest and smallest crowd you have performed
                            to?
                          Smallest
I think 15 people and the largest between 1500-2000
                            at TNA .
                          What's
                            your finisher?
                          Northern
Lights Bomb or a Spinning Head Scissors to a Crossface
                            submission.
                          What
have been your favorite feuds and why?
                          Todd
Sexton because it was a pure wrestling feud and he's
my best friend so we didn't hold back much. I also
loved my feud with JC Dazz we did some good stuff.
He ran me over with a car, he had a killer ladder
match and we just have a chemistry in the ring that
I haven't found with anyone else.
                          What
                            do you do to relax?

                            wrestling tapes!
                          What's
                            your motto and promo?
                          I
let my wrestling do the talking!
                          What
